Waters
Edge Farm is situated on 65 beautiful acres bordering the Piney
Run Reservoir located in
Sykesville, Maryland. The large amount of acreage offers a quiet
setting conducive to an ideal
training environment. Additionally, the farm provides various
options to ride outside of the
ring ranging from galloping turfs to wooded trails on the Piney
River trail system.
The
main training barn is a stone and wood barn newly built in 2007.
It offers 12 stalls measuring
12’x 12’, 2 heated tack rooms, and a wash stall with heat
lamps. The barn also includes offices,
a boarders lounge with kitchenette, deck, full bathroom, and
living quarters for the Waters Edge staff.
The secondary training barn is a bank barn offering 11
stalls
measuring 12’x 12’ with a tack room and wash stall.
The
spacious indoor arena is 70’ x 200’ with mirrors, lights, and
excellent footing
made from a combination of sand, fiber, and rubber topped with a
dust free mag.
The large outdoor arena is 150’ x 200’ with a variety of show
jumps available for schooling.
The round pen is spacious and conducive to training and breaking
young horses.
The cross-country schooling field offers 10 acres of a variety of
different
cross-country fences from the Beginner Novice to the Preliminary
level.
